Description
The APsmart RSD-D-446101 (RSD-D-20) is a dual-input rapid shutdown device designed to meet NEC rapid shutdown requirements for photovoltaic systems in the United States. The device maintains normal operation by receiving a continuous heartbeat signal from an APsmart transmitter and automatically initiates rapid shutdown when the transmitter signal is lost. Manual rapid shutdown can also be triggered using the transmitter breaker switch.
Built for rooftop solar installations, the RSD-D-20 supports dual-input module-level shutdown and PLC communication, allowing reliable system monitoring and control. It is designed to operate in harsh outdoor environments and is supplied with MC4 connectors and mounting brackets for straightforward installation in both new and retrofit PV systems.
The RSD-D-20 supports an input operating voltage range of 8–65V per channel, a maximum continuous current of 20A per channel, and output operating voltage of 16–130V. It supports PV systems up to 1500V (UL) and operates across a wide temperature range, making it a dependable safety solution for residential and commercial solar installations in the US.
